Biodiversity may not seem to be an issue of a practical nature, but it is. Biodiversity is of special importance to pest control and pest prevention. The way we practice the use of native biodiversity in our landscapes and gardens will, to a great extent, determine our pest control needs. For Instance, a home habitat which contains the native plants which encourage native birds, will lessen the mosquito population.
